## Import Options

When you import a file, AhaSlides presents three options for how to handle your content:

<CardGroup cols={1}>
  <Card title="Import + AI" icon="wand-magic-sparkles">
    Imports your slides **and** auto-generates interactive slides (polls, quizzes, word clouds) based on the content of your file. Your final presentation contains both your original static slides and newly generated interactive ones.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Generate Interactive Slides" icon="robot">
    Analyses your file and creates only interactive slides — your original slides are **not** imported. Use this to build an interactive layer on top of a deck you'll present elsewhere.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Import Slides Only" icon="file-import">
    Converts your slides to static Content slides with no interactive additions. All interactivity can be added manually after the import is complete.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## What Gets Converted

<Warning>
  Animations, audio, embedded videos, and hyperlinks in your original file are **not** preserved after import. Only static content — text, images, and shapes — is converted. Review each slide carefully after import and recreate any important dynamic elements manually.
</Warning>

## Making Imported Slides Interactive

After import, you can add interactive slides anywhere between your static slides:

1. Click the **+ Add Slide** button between two slides in the slide panel.
2. Choose an interactive type — Poll, Quiz, Word Cloud, Q\&A, and more.
3. Configure the slide content and settings.

To save time, use AI to generate interactive slides automatically during import by selecting the **Import + AI** or **Generate Interactive Slides** option.
