The AhaSlides Microsoft Teams add-in lets you run interactive presentations directly inside your Teams meetings. Participants see and respond to slides without leaving Teams — no screen sharing, no second app, no AhaSlides account needed for attendees.

Installing the Add-in

Open the channel or chat

Navigate to the Teams channel or chat where you want to add AhaSlides.

Click the + (Add a tab) button

Find and click the + button at the top of the channel or chat.

Search for AhaSlides

Type AhaSlides in the search bar and select it from the results.

Click Add

Click Add to confirm. AhaSlides opens as a persistent tab in that channel or chat.

Presenting in a Meeting

Open AhaSlides in the Teams meeting app

Click the AhaSlides panel within your active Teams meeting.

Select a presentation

Browse your presentation library and select the presentation you want to run.

Click Share

Click Share to make the presentation visible to all participants in the meeting.

Navigate slides

Use the arrow controls to move forward and backward through your slides.

Switch presentations if needed

Click the library button at any time to return to your library and load a different presentation.

What Participants See

Participants in the meeting see a panel with four tabs:
  • Slides — the interactive slide they need to respond to
  • List — a scrollable list of all slides in the presentation
  • Q&A — the live question board
  • Profile — their participant name and avatar

Responding to Slides

Participants interact with each slide type in the following ways:
  • Word Cloud, Poll, Open Ended — type and submit a text response
  • Rating Scale, Brainstorm — tap or type their input
  • Quiz — tap or type the answer; the leaderboard appears automatically after each question
  • Q&A — type and submit a question, or upvote questions submitted by others
  • Emoji reactions — tap one of five emoji to react in real time: 👍 ❤️ 😂 😮 😠

Troubleshooting

Guest participants who haven’t signed in with a Teams account may not be able to see the AhaSlides panel content. Ask guest users to sign in to their Teams account before joining the meeting.
